Biography: Ur. 26 XII 1916. Po ukończeniu w 1935 szkoły średniej odbywał w okresie 1935-1936 służbę wojskową na Dywizyjnym Kursie Podchorążych Piechoty. Po odbyciu ćwiczeń aplikacyjnych awansowany do stopnia ppor. rez. piech. z starszeństwem od 1 I 1938.
W kampanii wrześniowej 1939 bierze udział na stanowisku d-cy 101 samodzielnej kompanii CKM na taczankach w składzie 2 pp Leg. Uczestnik walk z Niemcami na szlaku bojowym 2 pp Leg. Brał udział w obronie Modlina.
