Łódź 2009, str. 95 - " Jedenastoletnia Gienia Skulimowska (później z męża Materek) z Urzecza na początku września 1939r. ukrywała się z innymi osobami w murowanej piwnicy, której właściciel powiedział, że bezpieczniej byłoby skryć się w rowie za stodołami, 100m. od domów. Posłuchano tej rady i zaczęto w grupie biec w stronę rowu. W pewnym momencie stamtąd padł strzał. Wszyscy padli na ziemię. [...]. W końcu wstali z ziemi wszyscy, z wyjątkiem jednej osoby - babci Gieni - Jadwigi Matysek, która poniosła śmierć od kuli przeszywającej jej serce."
